Glass Door Drawers
If you are looking for an eye-dropping piece of furniture to bring pizzazz to any room or hallway this is it. Of course, its intended purpose is a Multi Purpose Coat Rack with Bench, but it has such a grand presence you will almost hate to sit on it. The door and seat have been stained antique walnut giving a deep rich tone to the wood. Two separate pieces of early 1900s furniture were used to construct this unique item. The oak two-drawer with glass door chest and the large hardwood pine with original beveled glass door were picked from the damaged and dilapidated goods in a basement (ok...it was almost a dungeon) in Kansas. Most of what is seen is the original patina from both pieces, with new black paint to make it pop and give a little elegance. Period correct black porcelain door knob (rare) and coat rack hooks, along with the original copper plated hinges and door plate add to the authenticity.
