Old Blacksmith's Bellows Plume Coffee Table
This authentic Antique European Bellows Top would have been used to blow air into a blacksmith forge, circa 1800s. It was imported from France in 2014 and was turned into a Conversational Coffee Table. The top is 100% original, while the bottom shelf and legs were handcrafted to match. Weathered wood was used to design and craft a seamless matching style and original patina by then applying antique walnut stain and heavy torching to simulate the heat and scorching experienced by the top bellows piece in the forge. The rich walnut stain brings forth the wood’s natural luster and grain; it would bring warmth to any room. The original square air intake has been left open which perfectly fits a large flower vase or let your creativity flow and display another special item of your choice. I could see this coffee table in a sitting room, den/office, a bedroom, or even in a commercial setting such as a coffee house or cigar lounge.
