Large French Zinc Grape Hod/Picking Basket
This 1900-1910 Large French Zinc Grape Hod/Picking Basket was used in France and Germany to harvest grapes. Can you imagine lugging this 25 lb tub around empty...let alone full and most likely tripling or quadrupling its weight? It has original paint, leather shoulder straps and buckles which is a very rare find. This is a true collectors piece! There are few in the market, especially ones still possessing the leather shoulder straps. The Picking Basket is amazing hung on the wall or standing. Use to display seasonal flowers or branches. This incredible piece has some minor denting from use and rusting inside, but no holes. Bring a conversation to any room by using it as a floor piece or wall decor.
