Robin Hood Beer Crate
This Robin Hood Beer Crate is a RARE find. Fontenelle Brewing Company crate produced for Robin Hood Beer only from 1933-1936. This crate featured the beer's famous tagline that reads "Hits the Spot." The box is in fair condition but the painting is very poor given how old it is and its life function. Although it started out to carry beer, at some point, it ended up as a chicken laying nest at a KS farmstead from the mid 1950s until 2018. This is a great display piece ... a rare find as Robin Hood Beer was only produced for 3 years. This item was thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, then sealed with an antique poly-linseed oil blend to hold in the original patina. It's perfect to create a little extra storage for books/magazines, blankets, toys, dishes etc. We included some pictures of the original Robin Hood Beer logo signs to help you visualize the vibrant colors the crate would have originally displayed. It would definitely be a conversation piece to tell your friends its history.
