Native American “Horse Coming” 14 inch Hand Drum, Beater, and Drum Bag
Native American “Horse Coming” 14 inch Hand Drum, Beater, and Drum Bag handcrafted and painted by Lakota artist Carl Winters, a member of the Standing Rock Sioux tribe in North Dakota. He sells his work via Sweet Medicine Drum store. The meaning of his painting “Horse Coming” is “Symbols of water and it represents the coming of the horse across the ocean from the European to the Indian world (the black inner circle), the hoop of life. The hoof tracks in four directions show the spread of the horse across North America.” Sweet Medicine Drums handcrafts native American drums with the utmost care and attention to detail. They use only top quality materials and non-toxic inks. The drums are stretched and strung in the traditional way, using natural, top grain rawhide. This drum is a beautiful piece of art that gives tribute to the Native American culture and would stand out in any southwestern or Native American decor setting; hung on the wall, displayed on a piece of furniture or as a stand alone propped up on a wall or floor. Lastly, this is a fully functional drum and looks like it has never been used. Try a new skill, learn to play this exquisitely constructed and designed drum. It also comes with its own beater and fabric woven drum bag.
