Antique Heavy Duty Platform Scale,
Antique Heavy Duty Platform Scale, circa late 1800s, is not your average barn-found platform scale, this is warehouse/railroad-class. It's in very good cosmetic and functional condition. It is constructed of European oak, steel and cast iron. It is missing the plates, but suitable replacements can be found. The only thing we performed was resealing the scale with an antique poly-oil blend to keep the wood moisturized, also sealing in all the original patina. The scale was imposed from France to the US in 2012. This rugged piece would look great in a mancave, loft or industrial setting to make for a great conversation topic.
