Hoosier Bakers Cabinet
This enchanting style Hoosier Bakers Cabinet, circa 1920s would be a great restoration project. It resided in the same Kansas farm residence since 1955. The Hoosier style cabinets were a free- standing kitchen cabinet that was manufactured between 1880-1930 by various companies. They were designed to provide compact storage and increased workspace to American kitchens because homes didn’t have built in cabinetry yet. They were equipped with a variety of accessories: jars, spice bottles, flour dispensers, cannisters, containers, salt boxes etc. They generally consisted of three pieces: a base with doors on the front and/or drawers, a midsection that sat on the workspace which provided an area for small containers, and a top compartment with doors and shelves. Do not fret if restoration is not your thing, Customization is available! You can select your own paint and/or stain color and we will finish it for you. Customizing price would be determined per your personal specifications. What a charming piece this would be in a kitchen, hallway, pantry, etc. and let’s not forget the ample storage it would provide.
