Empty Collectable Vintage Velvet Pipe and Cigarette Tobacco Canister
This Empty Collectable Vintage Velvet Pipe and Cigarette Tobacco Canister was manufactured by the Liggett and Myers Tobacco Co., in St. Louis, MO in the 1950s. The company goes back to the early 1900's. The tobacco was grown in Kentucky and promoted itself as "America's Smoothest Smoke". The canister is a brilliant red and black with a clear tobacco pipe & cigarette graphics . It is in good condition. There are a few scratches and a little rust on the top edge as pictures illustrate. The shape of the lid makes it very stylish to display in a country/farm kitchen or a den. It is a great can to add to a collection. It is still functionally so it could be used for its original purpose, or to other miscellaneous items. They have also been used to house gifts for people and skip the wrapping. We also have two other varieties of Empty Tobacco Tins on our store site.
