Pair-Hand-Forged Wrought Iron Spanish Floor Lamps with Animal Skin Shades,
Hand-Forged Wrought Iron Spanish Floor Lamps with Animal Skin Shades, circa 1930s are an exquisite RARE find!!. The lamp structure is of solid heavy duty iron, black in color with a tripod base and a center having a round middle decorative circular design with intricate scroll work detail. The iron then flows up into a design of a plant pedestal enveloping the wax candle husk measuring 11” tall and 3” in diameter. The iron continues on the opposing end of the husk to attach the double lighting sockets which hold standard or LED light bulbs. The lamps possess their original vintage wiring and each includes foot pedal switches to provide ease of turning them on and off. Both lamps are operationally safe and fully functional. These lamps are topped with light colored ivory authentic Animal Skin Shades that were hand-sewn with great expertise. As the pictures depict, the shades do have a few tears, but we felt it best to sell them “as they are” rather than to try to repair them. Each shade is uniquely trimmed. One is trimmed in brown-gold with detailed pattern work, while the other is a lovely rust-orange & cream color in a woven pattern. One could have these shades repaired or replaced with new animal skin shades; however, we chose to leave them in “as-is” original condition because it retains their authenticity and adds to their character. This pair of floor lamps would bring beauty and authenticity to any rustic decor setting. Our price point is extremely reasonable as the market comps are between $2k-$3K for one individual lamp.
