Vintage Armoire/Chifferobe
This circa 1960-1970 chifferobe was picked from a Canadian couple serving at the US North Command. They had purchased the piece in Canada. It’s equipped with 6 drawers and a side closet for hanging clothes. Presently, these wardrobe pieces have taken on all sorts of new uses and looks as artists have modernized them with various paint schemes. Many are used in clothing boutiques or jewelry stores to display merchandise. Of course, in homes they often are used for their functional purpose…or not.
